Residential Exposure to Outdoor Air Pollution during Pregnancy and Anthropometric Measures at Birth in a Multicenter Cohort in Spain

Background: A growing body of research suggests that prenatal exposure to air pollution may be harmful to fetal development. We assessed the association between exposure to air pollution during pregnancy and anthropometric measures at birth in four areas within the Spanish Children’s Health and Environment (INMA) mother and child cohort study. Methods: Exposure to ambient nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and benzene was estimated for the residence of each woman (n = 2,337) for each trimester and for the entire pregnancy. This paper concerns the design, analysis, and simulation of a 3D non-stationary channel model fed with inertial measurement unit (IMU) data. The work in this paper provides a framework for simulating the micro-Doppler signatures of indoor channels for human activity recognition by using radiofrequency-based sensing technologies. Por ello, volvemos a reflexionar sobre los cambios legislativos propuestos en la normativa estatal sobre la materia y su posible eficacia tanto en la protección de la infancia y la adolescencia como de la salud y prevención de las drogodependencias. Toenail Cr level (TCL) provides a time-integrated measure reflecting long-term Cr exposure. Perfluoroalkyl substances in the Ebro and Guadalquivir river basins (Spain).

Mediterranean rivers are characteristically irregular with changes in flow and located in high population density areas. This affects the concentration of pollutants in the aquatic environments. In this study, the occurrence and sources of 21 perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) were determined in water, sediment and biota of the Ebro and Guadalquivir river basins (Spain). In water samples, of 21 analytes screened, 11 were found in Ebro and 9 in Guadalquivir. In both basins, the most frequents were PFBA, PFPeA and PFOA. Perfiles de consumo intensivo de alcohol en jóvenes

Un fenómeno que en España favorece el actual patrón de consumo de alcohol juvenil es el botellón. A partir de una investigación financiada por el Plan Nacional sobre Drogas (2004-2007), se recogieron datos de 6.009 jóvenes entre 14 y 25 años en Alicante,Castellón y Valencia, considerando para este trabajo a los 2.807 jóvenes que realizan episodios de consumo intensivo de alcohol.
